Request: Request for a waiver as permitted by Section 24-46(d) to waive the prohibition of tattoo artists within the Commercial General zoning district as required by Section 24-111(b)
at 1021 Atlantic Boulevard, Unit 983.
Summary: The applicant operates a cosmetology salon in the existing Sola Salon located in an existing shopping center at 1021 Atlantic Boulevard. The applicant would like to add cosmetic
permanent makeup to her services. Permanent cosmetics are treated the same as any other tattooing location and artist by the State. The Commercial General zoning district prohibits
tattoo artists so the applicant is requesting to waive that prohibition.
Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, a person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Commission with respect to any matter considered at the meeting or at any subsequent
meeting to which the Commission has continued its deliberations is advised that such person will need to insure that a verbatim record of all proceedings is made, which must include
the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
