The box structure has a bottom of 8” and the portion that is cut out to
wrap around the valve will be filled with gravel, the structure itself
will be sitting on a gravel base, the opening directly under the pipe
will be gravel. AJ Johns recommends keeping the bottom malleable for
any movement therefore the gravel placement.
