Dear Mayor Shaughnessy:
The Cultural Arts Board has four members whose term of office ends in April 1999. I con-
tactedNancy Decandis and Karen Clark. Nancy and Karen said they would be happy to
serve another two-year term. I left repeated messages on Gary Seabrook's phone, but
never received a reply. I am the fourth person whose term ends in April. Having served
on the Board since its beginning except for a few months I feel I should give someone else
an opportunity to join the Board. My resigning in April would provide you with a vacancy
in which to appoint someone new. I have appreciated the opportunity to serve on this
board, enjoyed everyone with whom I have come in contact and should be happy to help
board members in any way I can. You have appointed some highly intelligent and
enthusiastic people who have accomplished much. It was a pleasure to work with them.
Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this group.
