FW- ABCC SPA revision - 4 From: John Meserve [mailto:meserve.john@gmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 15, 2013 9:39 AM To: Hanson, Jim Cc: Rick Wood; Mark, Maria; Griffin, Michael; T.R. Hainline; Mike Carlin; Mr. Pete Rodrigues Subject: Re: FW: ABCC SPA revision Jim: As we discussed this morning, the suggestion to proceed on schedule with current rezoning, and at the same time work toward an amendment has merit in my view. Have copied TR Hainline. Rick: your call obviously. We may be able to move this up by special meetings, but it will clearly delay the final approval more than the one month you had hoped for when we spoke earlier this week. One thought may be helpful; would it be a good idea to move ahead with the proposed PUD as it presently exists and to also pursue this additional 20 units as an amendment? That way we could get the basic rezoning done more quickly while working on this 2nd option. Please let me know your thoughts on timing by the end of this week because I need to finalize the agenda for the upcoming commission workshop for May 28th and regular meeting on June 10th. I had planned on having the first reading of the currently proposed PUD for the commission to consider at those meetings, but can take it off that agenda if needed. Below is the CDB and Commission hearing schedule, assuming we get a submittal from the applicant by May 18, 2013. I understand you will discuss this with Rick Wood. Thanks Mike G. From: Hall, Erika Sent: Tuesday, May 14, 2013 4:19 PM To: Alan Jensen Cc: Griffin, Michael Subject: ABCC SPA revision Alan, Mr. Hanson just told me that he has been informed that the Country Club will be submitting a revision to their SPA application, increasing the number of requested dwelling units from 180 to 200, with the additional 20 to be located on the parcels within AB, to the south of the clubhouse (abutting the creek / back to back with those fronting on Selva Marina Drive). My question is this - Do you consider this a substantial change that would warrant a new hearing before the Community Development Board? I think this is significant, especially since the current application was "sold" on the fact that there would no longer be houses directly abutting Selva Marina / Lakes / Linkside. If a new hearing is required before the CDB, we would have to re-advertise and send out new notices for that meeting as well as the commission meetings (since apo notices for the June/July commission meetings went out last week), and the revised schedule would be as follows: * Community Development Board: o meeting Jun 18, 2013 (submittal required by May 18, 2013 for notice purposes) * City Commission: o workshop Jul 22, 2013 o 1st reading Aug 12, 2013 o 2nd reading Sep 9, 2013 Please advise.
