1/9/2020 – Mr. Stelzmann and Wells Fargo agreed to discuss with a mediator at City Hall. Initially scheduled for 1/16 but had to be rescheduled for 1/24 due to conflict.
1/24/2020– Voluntary mediation held with Wells Fargo and Andrew Stelzmann and mediator provided by City of Atlantic Beach
1/31/2020– Wells Fargo and Andrew Stelzmann signed settlement agreement. Mr. Stelzmann agreed to leave property no later than 2/8/2020. Any property left in home after 2/9/2020 became
property of Wells Fargo.
2/3/2020– Wells Fargo and Andrew Stelzmann met at Atlantic Beach City Hall to complete financial matters and sign deed.
2/7/2020 – Demolition permit application sent to City
2/13/2020 – Power disconnected from house.
2/18/2020 – Property Demolished

Per family members, Mr. Demps is undergoing medical treatment out of state. He is not able to make decisions regarding the home at this time and no power of attorney has been given to
any family member in reference to the house in order to obtain financing.
The House is an eyesore but is not a danger to the life or safety to surrounding neighbors
Assessing fines to the property will not enable compliance and may hinder Mr. Demps ability to obtain compliance in the future with the burden of fines.
The city recommends that the issue be deferred and the case reviewed in 6 months.
