Correction Comments:
1. The small storage shed will require a means of ‘tie-down’. This is required to secure the shed in place in the event we experience a high wind event.
Atlantic Beach is in a 130 MPH wind load zone. The easiest method for your type of shed is to purchase 4 auger type devices that screw into the ground
at the 4 corners of the shed and wrap cable over the shed in an ‘X’ criss cross pattern so that the cables cross over the top of shed roof from corner to
corner and attach to the augers.
2. Submit scaled framing drawings for the kyack storage system. Since the system has a roof system, concerns for uplift are applicable. Framing details
that need to be disclosed are: size of posts (if applicable), space measurement between posts, depth of penetration into the ground, are they set in
concrete, call out the other framing members that connect post to the roof framing system and how the connections are made with what type of
fasteners and the quantity used for each connection, size of plywood thickness and the means of fastening the plywood to roof truss system and the
spacing of the fasteners that attach plywood to the roof truss system.
3. The description of how the kyack storage system is put together is needed to avoid getting signed and sealed engineering. So please be make sure to
provide all information requested.
