12-14 3rd Street West (Brian Christenson) 09.11.2002 September 11, 2002 Brian Christenson Liquid Nation / DBA Skate Lab 12 and 14 West Third Street Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233 Re: Additional Business Activities at Liquid Nation / Skate World Dear Mr. Christenson: I have discussed the issue of activity associated with your business, which may occur outside of the enclosed building, with the City Attorney. Subject to all applicable permitting requirements, skateboard ramps may be located outdoors, and shall be considered as Accessory Structures that are ancillary to the Principal Use of the property. Please bear in mind that Accessory Structures, which are greater than thirty (30) inches in height, are subject to all setback requirements, and must be located on the lot so that required setbacks are provided. The maximum height for Accessory Structures is twelve (12) feet. Further, adequate parking to serve all activities associated with the existing and the expanded business must be provided. The parking requirement is one space for each 300 square feet of gross floor area of the building, and one space for each 300 square feet of outdoor area used for skateboard ramps and the like. In order to obtain Zoning Department approval for your Occupational License, please provide a survey or site plan showing parking locations and parking calculations as well as the location and height of all skateboard ramps and other similar outdoor structures. As you are aware, all other Building Code violations must be corrected, and final inspections made, before your Occupational License can be issued. Since the business is in operation, it is imperative that these corrections be made immediately. Please feel free to call me at 247-5817 with any questions. Sincerely, Sonya Doerr, AICP Community Development Director cc: Don Ford, CBO, Building Official Maureen King, City Clerk Alex Sherrer, Code Enforcement Officer
