Dear Ms. Rogers:
The City has received your application for financial assistance to convert your septic system to
City sewer service. In reviewing your application, additional information is needed to meet the
documentation requirements of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
CDBG funds are subject to certain Federal rules, and the City must provide evidence that any
persons receiving such funds meet the low and moderate-income levels as established by HUD
Section 8 Income Limits. Your property is outside of the City’s CDBG designated project area,
but the City does have the ability to make certain exceptions to that designation upon thorough
verification that the use of funds and the grant recipient meet all eligibility requirements,
including income and full-time occupancy of a single-family residence.
Please provide a copy of your tax returns for the previous two tax years. (This information will
be maintained as confidential.) Also, in order to arrange for the inspection your home, please
provide the time of day and day of the week (Monday through Friday) when it would be most
convenient to make arrangements for a Building Inspector to meet you, and the phone number
