Duval County tax records identify you as the owner of the following property in the City of Atlantic Beach,
Florida:

The purpose of this is Correspondence is to serve as an Official Notification of Violation . You have been
identified as being in violation of the Florida Building Code, Sections 104.1 and 105.6, and under Atlantic
Beach City Code: Chapter 6, Sec 6-16 Adoption of Florida Building Code.
1. Conversion of a storage building into a living space, to w it Mother-in-Law Suite without
proper building permits.
2. Failing to provide design plans and specifications.
3. Failing to have the required inspections.
An investigation by the Code Enforcement Office has revealed that there has never been any permits or
plans for the aforementioned conversion, and that without proper plan review, permitting and inspections
said building can not be considered safe for occupancy. That until you or any future owner resolves all
permitting and zoning issues with the City of Atlantic Beach the building commonly referred to as the
Mother-in-Law Suite shall remain uninhabited.
Furthermore I would remind you of your responsibilities as a homeowner to abide by the regulations of the
city, county and state, and that further violations or non-compliance can result in measures that may require
the disconnection of utilities, condemnation of said building and can include fines of up to $500.00 per day,
per violation from the Code Enforcement Board.
