Correction Comments
1. Deck Connection: The connection of the second floor deck to the detached garage causes the two
structures to be considered attached which requires them to meet the setbacks of the main house. This
would mean that the garage must be at least 20 feet from the western property line. Please revise the
plans accordingly.
2. Parking: Each residential property is required to provide 2 parking spaces that are at least 9’ by 18’.
The garage provides 1 space but there are no other paved areas for the second spot. Please revise plans
so that there are least 2 parking spaces provided.
3. Survey: Please provide a legal survey.
4. Setbacks: Please show distances from all property lines to the detached garage.
5. Height: Please provide the height of the garage as measured from grade to the peak of the roof.
6. Tree Removal: Please submit a Tree Removal Permit Application if any trees are to be removed. If no
trees are to be removed, then please fill out an Affidavit of No Tree Removal. Both forms are available
on the city website under “Planning and Zoning” and at City Hall. Also please be aware that codes
have recently changed. If you are unsure about how the new codes effect your project, please submit a
Tree Removal Permit and staff can then determine if it is necessary.
