He is one of those few local builders who still thinks he can do everything the way he did 15 years ago, and still uses a 10-year old AB zoning code as the "rules." He has been building the exact same, poor quality duplex anywhere on the west side that he can for years. He said he has been trying to reach you unsuccessfully. He asked if I knew about the density issue--I told him I usually didn't get involved in that aspect of permitting, but he asked what map you were referring to. I am faxing him a copy of the FLUM at his request (don't know if colors will show up), but verified for him that the property is in the low density area. He says several other duplexes were recently built on the same size as his property in the same area and asked if the map had changed. I told him I was not sure, just gave him the date shown on the current map.
