Re: Tree replacement at 30 Simmons Road
Dear Mr. Barnett:
The City Manager recently received a complaint (letter attached) from a citizen about your property
on Simmons Road and asked that I respond. Don Ford and I visited the project at 30 Simmons Road
earlier this week and observed just one dead tree on the property.
I am advised by Don that this tree was in fact a required tree per the projects tree remov al permit.
This tree has been in place for longer than the one-year period as required by Chapter 23, so the
property remains consistent with the requirements of the tree removal permit. The City’s
commercial Landscape regulations, however, require that landscaping be maintained, and that dead
landscape materials be replaced. This tree needs to be replaced as soon as reasonably possible.
