Dear Mr. Deering:
As a follow-up to the discussion and comments made at Monday evening’s City Commission
meeting, I would suggest that you and your staff be particularly mindful and attentive to the
concerns expressed by Mr. Loftis.
Please be sure that the outdoor seating area, nearby parking and landscaped areas are maintained
in a clean manner and that any refuse or unsightly conditions generated during evening business
hours are thoroughly cleaned and all debris removed prior to morning business hours of your
neighbors. Also, please insure that your outdoor seating does not obstruct the sidewalk.
While the City has had no such other previous complaints about the Landshark Café, we would
encourage you to make an extra effort to ensure that your customers refrain from any “unruly or
distasteful” behavior that might be considered objectionable by customers of your neighboring
businesses. Clearly, you have a sizeable and supportive following at your business, and City
wishes you continued success.
