Re: Application for Use -by-Exception
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Dagley:
Enclosed herewith I have returned your check for $250.00 and your application for a Use -by-
Exception seeking to allow a mobile home to be used as a residence on the salvage yard property.
The City’s Land Development Regulations do not provide for a residential mobile home to be
approved a s a Use -by-Exception within the Special Purpose District. (There are no Use -by-
Exceptions permitted within the Special Purpose District.) Further, Section 24 -113 (c), which is
specific to the salvage yard, allows only for the storage and salvage operatio ns of mobile homes.
In the case that the salvage yard use is ceased on Block 141, the zoning of that land would revert
to RS -2; however, the RS -2 district does not permit mobile homes as a Permitted Use or as a Use -
by-Exception.
