Hello,
A change of contractor(s) and/or subcontractor(s) has been requested for the permit at RES18-
0415 1977 BEACH AVE. When changing contractors or subcontractors before the project is
completed, certain procedures must be done before work can continue. There are three parties
involved in this change: the property owner, the previous contractor(s) of record, and the new
contractor(s).
For a smooth transition, we ask each party to find their part of this email and respond as requested.
To property owner:
We have received notification that the contractor of record for the permit at 1234 Main Street
(RES21-0000) will no longer be working on the project. The permit is now on hold pending
information from you, the previous contractor of record, and your new contractor(s):
1. Please confirm in writing to us (a reply to this email will suffice) the name(s) of the new
contractor(s) that will be working on your project.
2. Please submit new permit applications reflecting the new contractor(s) information and
notarized signatures, and a new recorded notice of commencement (if applicable). If you as the
owner are planning to take over the permit as an owner/builder, you will need to submit an
owner/builder affidavit.
3. To transfer the permit, we will need notice in writing from the previous contractor(s) of record
stating they agree to release the permit. If they do not agree or are unable to be contacted, you will
need to reapply for their a new permit.
4. All new permit fees and/or permit transfer fees must be paid prior to any work re-starting with
new contractors.
To previous contractor of record:
We have received notification that your company is no longer the contractor of record for
the permit at 1234 Main Street (RES21-0000) and will no longer be working on the project.
The permit is now on hold pending information from your company, the property owner,
and the new contractor.
1. Please confirm in writing to us (a reply to this email will suffice) that your company will
no longer be working on this project.
2. To transfer the permit, we will need notice in writing from your company stating you
agree to release the permit. If you do not agree or you do not respond, the owner will need to
reapply for their a new permit.
The owner will need to provide us the new contractor names, new permit applications, and
pay all permit/transfer fees prior to any work re-starting with new contractors. Please let us
know if you have any questions.
