'ON XIJJ : WON -4 Attn: City of Atlantic Beach September 17,2008 Tree Review Board Re: Tree Removal/Mitigation 370 12a' Street Atlantic Beach Florida 32233 The proposed structure for 370 1P street comes in conflict with the current location of both vegetation as well as existing trees. The homeowner has encouraged to minimize the impact on all vegetation and trees and a strong effort will be made to work in this fashion. With this in mind due to the size of the new structure some trees will have to be removed and or relocated. The method for tree removal will be with a backhoe following the demolition of the existing structure. All trees will be marked accordingly for removal and the species staying on the property will be marked as well as protected during this process. It is my opinion that by removing the structure first, much less of an impact will take place on the vegetation and trees to remain, with the additional room to work. There is a large grouping of palms on the southeast side of the lot, which are proposed for removal, as well as a single palm on the southeast corner. A single palm stands alone in roughly the center of the house and this would be removed as well. On the west side of the property there are a total of four palms that will be relocated to a more suitable location on the site. In addition to the relocations two palms on this west side are proposed for removal. As the Project Manager for this new house I will monitor that work is completed within city guidelines and will make a strong effort to minimize the impact and maintain a safe and smooth operating job site.
