Kevin, you are the current owner and contractor of record. Please send us something in writing stating that you are selling the property and agree to transfer the current permits. Michael and Tansy, you will be the new owners and contractor. You may not be able to send us everything listed under new contractor until you close, but please send us what you can. Hello, You were sent this email because a change of contractor(s) and/or subcontractor(s) has been requested for the permit at 334 Oceanwalk Dr. S. (RESA19-0023). When changing contractors or subcontractors before the project is completed, certain procedures must be done, before work can continue, to ensure that all the involved parties are aware of all of the details. There are three parties involved in this change: the property owner, the previous contractor(s) of record (including subcontractors), and the new contractor(s) (including subcontractors). For a smooth transition, we ask each party to find their part of this email and respond as requested. To property owner: We have received notification that the contractor of record for the permit at 334 Oceanwalk Dr. S. (RESA19-0023) will no longer be working on the project. By doing so, you agree to hold the City of Atlantic Beach harmless in connection with changing contractors. Please submit new permit applications reflecting the new contractor(s) information and notarized signatures, and a new recorded notice of commencement (if applicable). If you, as the owner, are planning to take over the permit as an owner/builder, you will need to submit an owner/builder affidavit. To transfer the permit, we will need notice in writing from the previous contractor(s) of record stating they agree to release the permit. If they do not agree or are unable to be contacted, you will need to reapply for a new permit, with all new documents and plans. All new permit fees and/or permit transfer fees must be paid prior to any work re- starting with new contractors.
