A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR A 12" WATER MAIN
INSTALLATION NEAR NORTH SHERRY DRIVE; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE
ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on December 10, 2021, staff received a Continuing Contract Agreement from
Crawford, Murphy & Tiller, Inc., in the amount of $92,138 to provide professional engineering
services for the installation of a new 12" water main near North Sherry Drive; and
WHEREAS, an engineering proposal by Crawford, Murphy & Tiller, Inc., provided the City
with a scope of work to include permitting, design, bidding assistance and performance of
construction administration services; and
WHEREAS, funds for this design are budgeted in infrastructure account 400-5504-533-63-00
under project number AR2203.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Continuing Contract Agreement with Crawford, Murphy & Tiller, Inc., in the amount of $92,138.00
for Engineering Services related to the installation of a new 12" water main as described in the
Crawford, Murphy & Tiller, Inc., contract agreement, and;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a
Purchase Order to Crawford, Murphy & Tiller, Inc., in the amount of $92,138.00 for said contract
agreement.
SECTION 3. Funds for this purpose are budgeted in infrastructure account 400-5504-533-
63-00 under project number AR2203.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
