A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID #2122-02 FOR THE AlA FORCE MAIN
REPLACEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND
AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on December 15, 2021, five bids were received and opened for City Bid
#2122-02 for the AIA Force Main Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, the low bid price of $163,000 was received from The Kenton Group; and
WHEREAS, The Kenton Group submitted all required documents, in their bid submittal
and positive references were received; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials
necessary for the replacement of the deteriorated Force Main along AIA, from Montreal Street to
Shangri La Drive; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this project in account 400-5504-533-6300; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid 2122-02 to The Kenton Group in
the amount of $163,000 to perform the work for said bid in accordance with the bid specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with The Kenton Group;
SECTION 3. Funds are available for this project in account 400-5504-533-6300.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
