Interest and Oualifications
I am a concerned Resident-Taxpayer who would like to he part of the
Community Development Board shaping the future of Atlantic Beach.
I graduated from the Military Technical University in Budapest-Hungary
and after graduation I was teaching there 'til 1956.
After the popular uprising I escaped to Austria and from there the US
Government offered to bring me to the United States. In the USA, I made the
decision to go into the private sector and start civilian life.
After working for 9 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry in New
jersey, I married an American Girl and moved to Pennsylvania where I
was hired by the Engineered Products Division ofIL4RSCO Corporation.
In 1974 Iwas promoted as Director of Technology and in 1980 became the
Manager of the International Group.
In that position I was invited to be the Speaker at many International
Technical Conferences. My technical papers were published in Chemical
Engineering, Process Engineering and several other international
publications. I conducted seminars at the University of Chemical
Engineering in Milan-Italy in !Mexico City, Clemson University and more.
Traveled the world on business and experienced positive and negative
Community Developments.
I know that as a member of the CDB. I will be able to help with shaping the
Cit' to benefit all the Citizens.

I believe I have the knowledge and experience base to assist in many issues relating to either the Code Enforcement
Board or the Community Development Board. First, I am a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician.
trained here in Jacksonville. As such.I will be comfortable relating to issues of the Florida State Health Code. My

Atlantic Beach_ Additionally, I was the founder(and CEO)of a small real estate investment and development

large hospitals,giving me experience in the challenges of leadership and successful navigation of complex issues

My interest in serving on one of these committees stems from my appreciation of the Atlantic Beach community

hospital, is born from involvement. in that way, I become a part of it's present and it's future. My special
qualifications include: (1)my medical background,providing technical,scientific,and practical knowledge;(2)my
familiarity with hard work. long hours, and commitment; (3) my ability to work with all walks of people. from
CEO's to laborers, smoothly; (4) my understanding of business. finance,and commerce obtained from my family
and developed in my"non-medical"endeavors:(5)my flexible schedule that affords me man) days off during the
"work week"to help complete the work of the Board,meet with contacts,etc. I feel that I have a lot to offer either
of these Boards and to the leaders of our community. I wish, truly,to participate in the work of keeping Atlantic

4)Recently,l spear-headed a successful neighborhood action to have the speed bumps on
Plaza reinstalled,a development that has proved effective in restoring the residential

Ms. Green's 16 year planning career has incorporated both private consulting and municipal
planning. As a municipal planner for the City of Jacksonville. Ms Green was responsible for
responding to questions regarding zoning and land use issues, proposed street closures. and
surplus property requests for properties throughout Duval County. Ms. Green prepared and
presented recommendations on zoning applications, including Planned Unit Developments
(PUDs)as well as all the amendments to the Zoning Code,before both the Planning Commission
and the City Council. Ms. Green was responsible for preparing text amendments to the Zoning
Code and conducted the rewrite,draft and presentation of the City of Jacksonville's Zoning Code

Ms. Green held the position of Director of Planning for England, Thims & Miller. Inc. for four
years after leaving the City of Jacksonville. In this capacity, she directed the planning
responsibilities for the firm,which included residential, commercial and industrial developments
in the northeast Florida region. Under her direction, the Planning Department at ETM, was
responsible for handling the zoning, site planning and other land use issues, including
comprehensive planning and concurrency issues,on each of the private and public development
projects being managed by the firm.
As a Principal with the firm of Green&Kupperman,Inc.since its inception in 1998,Ms.Green has
managed the firm's client base, various on-going projects. and the daily operations of a land
development and planning consulting firm. Relevant education, community affiliations and
