A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
WITH THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE WHICH PROVIDES
FUNDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND REMODELING
OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH LIFEGUARD STATION;
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach Lifeguard Station located at 1 Ahern Street is
in need of construction and remodeling; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville appropriated funds in Section 12.25 of Ordinance
2021-504-E to provide funding for the construction and remodeling of the Atlantic Beach
Lifeguard Station.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Atlantic Beach, Florida, that
1. The City Commission authorizes the Mayor and the City Manager to
execute the interlocal agreement with the City of Jacksonville.
2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida.
ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida on the 14th day of
February 2022.
