ORDINANCE NO. 5-75-4
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SERVICE _KEE OF FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00) FOR TATE
COLLECTION OF A DISHONORED CHECK, DRAFT OR OTHER ORDER FOR PAYMENT OF
MDNEY TO THE CITY OR ANY MJNICIPAL OFFICIAL; AND: PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Any check, draft or other order for the payment of money
in payment of any licenses, fees, taxes, utility charges, commissions or
charges of any sort authorized to be made under the laws of the State of
Florida and the Ordinances of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida and
deposited in the City Treasury as provided by law, which may be returned
unpaid for any reason by the bank or other payor upon which same shall
have been drawn, the City Treasury shall add a Five Dollar ($5.00) service

fee to the amount due. The service fee of Five Dollars ($5.00) for the
collection of a dishonored check, draft, or other order for the payment of
money to the City shall be in addition to all other penalties, remedies
and circumstances imposed by law.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in oonflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall became effective immediately upon
final passage.
