Per your request we have visited the property at the above address on
10/26/2019 and our findings are as follows:
A.22” D.B.H. laurel oak (Quercus laurafolia) – this tree has decay pockets at
the root flare, insect frass and slime flux disease is present. Decay pockets
are found on the trunk. This tree has crown defoliation and is infested with
mistletoe. This tree is a hazard to people, structures and property.
B.12” D.B.H. red cedar (Juniperus virginiana) – this tree has decay pockets
at the root flare. White rot decay is present. This tree is a hazard to people,
structures and property.
C. 13” D.B.H. magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora) – this tree has large decay
pockets caused by improper pruning (1/3 pruning rule). Large decay
pocket on the larger lead. This tree is a hazard to people, structures
and property.
D. Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora) – this tree is a non-protected species.
**FL H1159 Bill Summary:
Prohibits local governments from requiring notices, applications, approval,
permits, fees or mitigation for pruning, trimming, or removal of trees on
residential property if property owner obtains specified documentation; prohibits
local governments from requiring property owners to replant such trees;
provides exemptions to mangrove protection actions; deletes provision that
authorizes electric utilities to perform certain right-of-way tree maintenance only
if property owner has received local government approval; creates Property
Owner Bills of Rights; requires county property appraisers to provide specified
information on their websites.
These trees are non-mitigable.
