A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID #2122-04 FOR THE WTP NO. 1 UPGRADE - ELEVATED
TOWER DEMOLITION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND
AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, on February 16, 2022, three bids were received and opened for City Bid
#2122-04 for WTP No. 1 Upgrade - Elevated Tower Demolition; and
WHEREAS, the low bid price of $168,700.00 was received from SGS Contracting Services; and
WHEREAS, SGS Contracting Services submitted all required documents, including positive
references, in their bid submittal; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary for the
demolition of the elevated water storage tank at WTP No. 1; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this project in account 400-5502-533-6300; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid 2122-04 to SGS Contracting Services in
the amount of $168,700.00 to perform the work for said bid in accordance with the bid specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the Contract
with SGS Contracting Services and approve a Purchase Order to said vendor in the amount of $168,700.00;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
