AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE II, CITY
COMMISSION, SEC. 2-16, TIME AND PLACE OF REGULAR
MEETINGS, REDUCING THE NUMBER OF REGULAR MEETINGS IN
THE MONTHS OF JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST TO ONE PER MONTH,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Sec. 2-16 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Atlantic Beach,
Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 2-16. Time and place of regular meetings.
The regular meetings of the city commission shall be held in city hall at
7:15 p.m. as follows:
(a) On the second and fourth Mondays in each of the following
months: January, February, March, April, May, September, October and
November.
(b) On the second Monday in each of the following months: June,
July, August and December.
(c) On the night of every election.
If any regular meeting scheduled to be held on a Monday falls on a
holiday, that meeting shall be held on the Tuesday immediately following the
holiday."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and
adoption.
