AN ORDNANCE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH
TO AMEND CHAPTER 2, BY ADDING TO, Sec. 2 -19
RULE 25 WHICH LIMITS DISCUSSION TO COMMISSIONERS
ONCE A MOTION IS ON THE FLOOR, PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, as follows:
Section 1. The following heading and sentence is added at the end of Section 2-19 as hereby
written as follows:
(25) Rule 25. No discussion of an issue will take place until a motion has been placed before
the Commission. Once a motion has been put on the floor for debate all discussion will be
limited to the Commission. The Mayor or Acting Chair may at his discretion call on staff
and/or a committee to clarify issues during the Commission's debate.
