A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING LABOR AND MATERIALS COSTS TO RECONFIGURE 36
SEWER SERVICES ALONG NANTUCKET AVENUE, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE
ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 17, 2022, staff received an estimate from Baldwin's Quality Plumbing
in the amount of $64,400.00 to provide labor and materials to reconfigure 36 sewer services along
Nantucket Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the city sewer lines are old and damaged, and are possibly allowing infiltration into
the city's sewer system; and
WHEREAS, the city requested estimates from three approved contractors; and
WHEREAS, Baldwin's Quality Plumbing submitted the lowest estimate; and
WHEREAS, funds for this work are budgeted in the infrastructure account 410-5506-535-6300
under project number AR2206.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a purchase
order to Baldwin's Quality Plumbing in the amount of $64,400.00, and to otherwise execute contracts
in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this resolution and;
SECTION 2. Funds are allocated in the FY21-22 budget for this purpose under the infrastructure
Project AR2206.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
