1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Approve minutes of the Tuesday, March 8,2022 Cultural Arts and Recreation
Advisory Committee meeting.
3. RECOGNITION OF VISITORS / PUBLIC COMMENTS
A. Desiree Lyles - Farmers Market / Community Yard Sale
Desiree Lyles came by to discuss hosting a market at Donner Park once a month with
different vendors and to have community yard sale in May and June of 2022.
Desiree was given feedback from Latrenia on how to properly apply for a permit to host
an event in the park.
4. ONGOING BUSINESS
A. Mayport Coastal Science Middle School Grant Contribution Award Request
Jill Jenkins came as a representative for Mayport Middle School to discuss the request
for $3,200.00 of the Grant funds for the Coastal Stewardship to be utilized for the
Octopus Garden. The Committee along with Jill discussed the details of the request. The
committee agreed to allow the funds to be utilized for the Octopus Garden.
MOTION: Motion for the approval of $3,200.00 of the Contribution Grant funds for Mayport
Middle School to be utilized for the Octopus Garden.

B. CARAC Newsletter - Trenia
Latrenia asked if the committee was pleased with the structure of the newsletter. An
shared her caution is that it seemed a bit cluttered. Besides that the committee was well
pleased with the layout of the newsletter.
C. Canine Carnival Update
Latrenia shared a current check list for the Canine Carnival in regards to the vendors,
activities, food trucks as well as the floor plan for the committee to review and further
discuss.
D. Arts in the Park Feedback
The committee gave feedback in regards to the overview of the event. The members that
attended were pleased with the turn out as well as the variety of art vendors. They gave
a few suggestions on what they would like to implement for next year's event.
E. Civic Rec Update - Veronica
Latrenia gave a brief discussion in regards to the Civic Rec software. She also shared
that Veronica and Kevin are working to launch Civic Rec with Summer Camp being the
first program to launch in the new software.
F. Contribution Grant Application Final Draft
Lisa shared that she included the committees suggestions from the workshop on March
24th in the Organization and Schools Grant Contribution applications. She asked for any
further suggestions to be submitted to Latrenia to be forward to her to insert in the
application.
5. NEW BUSINESS
A. Open Suggestions and Review list of City Events
The committee had an open discussion in regards to all of the programs, events,
partnerships and etc. The committee request to create a grid to show what is available to
local residence. Jane shared a prototype of her idea of what the details of the activities
offered in the community should look like.

B. Review Compilation of CARAC Resolution
An shared her commits in regards to the suggestion to the CARAC Resolution. An asked
to invite Mayor Glasser to explain her vision for the youth council and the role that
CARAC plays in regards to the Youth Council.
6. OTHER AGENDA ITEMS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
The committee had an open discussion in regards to scheduling a date to interview Grant
Recipients.
