Ordinance No. 20-03-63 vORDINANCE NO. 20-03-63 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA FOR FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2003 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2004. WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Atlantic Beach requires that the City Commission approve all budgetary increases and transfers at the fund level, and WHEREAS, the City applied for and received an award for FDOT grant proceeds to be used for DUI enforcement that was not included in the original budget. WHEREAS, the City also applied for and received an award for a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant for the purchase of 4 in-car video systems that were not included in the original budget WHEREAS, the City had budgeted in fiscal year 2003 a new entrance to the Post Office from Plaza. and that project did not get awarded. As a result, the City must re-budget the project for fiscal year 2004. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, that; 1. The Fiscal Year 2003/2004 Final Budget be amended as follows: Police Grant Fund - FDOT DUI Enforcement Initiative Revenues: Intergovernmental Revenues FDOT -Highway Safety Grant Proceeds 71 337 Expenses: Operating Expenses: Operating Supplies 3,350 Capital Outlay Vehicles 25,000 Equipment 42,987 Total Expenses: $71,337 Purpose: To create a budget for the recently approved FDOT grant for DUI enforcement. Police Grant Fund -Local Law Enforcement Block Grant FY-2004 Revenues: Intergovernmental Revenues: Grant Proceeds $10,899 Transfer from General Fund -Match Requirement Total Revenues: Ezpenses: Capital Outlay Equipment General Fund Ezpenses: Transfers -Out Transfer to Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Fund 1,211 $12,110 $12,110 $1,211 Fund Balance Reduction: < 1 211> Purpose: To create a budget for the recently approved Local Law Enforcement Block Grant for the purchase of four (4) in-car digital video systems. Half Cent Discretionary Sales Tax Fund Ezpenses: Capital Outlay Infrastructure Improvements $67.200 Fund Balance Reduction: < 67 200> Purpose: To re-budget funds not spent in FY-03 for the Plaza entrance to the Post Office Improvements. 2.
