ORDINANCE NO. 25-89-22
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORDINANCE
CODE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
AMENDING CHAPTER 6, ADOPTING THE
SOUTHERN STANDARD BUILDING CODE
CURRENT EDITION, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA
Section 1. Chapter 6, Article VIII, Section 6-16 is hereby
amended to read as follows:

SECTION 6-16. ADOPTION
Section 6-16. Adoption.
There is hereby adopted, subject to the modifications,
changes and amendments set forth in this article, for the purpose
of establishing rules and regulations for the construction,
alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy,
location and maintenance of buildings and structures, including
permits and penalties, that certain building code known as the
Standard Building Code, -1982--e€13-tfen- � #2,-1-'384--ev4.$-ions, current
edition with revisions, published by the Southern Building Code
Congress International, Inc. , and the whole thereof, including
Appendix K, Recommended Schedule of Permit Fees, except such
portions as are deleted, modified or amended by this article, of
which not less than three (3) copies have been and are now filed
in the office of the city clerk, and the same is adopted and
incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this article,
and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the
construction of all buildings and other structures within the
city.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its adoption.
