AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 6-24 - BUILDINGS
AND BUILDING REGULATIONS BY ADOPTING A SPECIFIC DESIGN
FOR RESIDENTIAL DUNE CROSSOVERS
Whereas, it is the desire of the City Commission of the City
of Atlantic Beach to adopt a specific design for residential dune
crossovers .
Whereas, the adoption of this design will protect the dune
system and allow a safe crossover for residential purposes .
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Commission of the
City of Atlantic Beach, Florida:
Section 6-24 - All residential dune crossover structures shall
be constructed in accordance with the "Beach Dune Walkover" design
as displayed in Section 6-24 and a copy of which will be kept in
the City Clerk' s Office and the Office of the Building Official.
Walkovers will have strict adherence of this design and shall not
AOvary more than 10% in height to allow for changes in topography of
the dune system.

of September , 1996.
PASSED by the City Commission on second and final reading
