I have noted the proximity of the boundaries of the water retention areas to the foundation, that they are approximately 2.5’ and 9’ from the edge of the foundation for the structure. It is my opinion that this proximity will have no impact on the structural performance of the stemwall foundation planned for this structure provided that the retention areas are above the zone of influence of the stemwall footings (see TYP. FOOTING IN PROXIMITY TO POOL for illustration) and that soil conditions meet or exceed requirements specified in the structural plan of CS: Foundation: Paragraph B and no clay type soils are found on the site.
