ORDINANCE NO. 42-69-1
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF AN ANNUITY
TO CITY EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AND THE QUALIFICATIONS APPLYING THERETO.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the General Fund of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida
be so set up as to include payment of annuities to City employees who
meet certain qualifications.
SECTION 2. That annuities be paid to City employees who meet the follow-
ing qualifications:
1. Have attained the age of 65.
2. Have been an employee of the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida, (except for active military
service in the Armed Forces of the United States
during times of national emergencies) for a
continuous period of at least 25 years.
3 . The annuity shall be payable to employees of the
City of Atlantic Beach, who are not covered by
any other Pension plan of the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida.
SECTION 3 . That the annuity will provide for a minimum monthly payment
of $100.00, the exact amount to be at the discretion of the City
Commission.
SECTION 4. That the payment of this annuity will only be effective
upon the retirement of the City employee of the City of Atlantic Beach,
Florida.
SECTION 5. That the payment of such annuity shall cease upon the death
of such City Employee.
