08-15-22 Special Meeting of the City Commission City of Atlantic Beach Agenda Special Meeting of the City Commission Monday, August 15, 2022 - 5:00 p.m. Commission Chamber City Hall, 800 Seminole Road INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CALL TO ORDER 1. CITY ATTORNEY REQUESTS A PRIVATE ATTORNEY/CLIENT MEETING IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 286.011(8), FLORIDA STATUTES, PERTAINING TO THE PENDING APPEAL STYLED THOMAS BOURDON V. CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, CASE NO. 2022-AP-000003, TO BEGIN IMMEDIATELY. 2. MAYOR ANNOUNCES THE CLOSED CLIENT/ATTORNEY MEETING WILL BE HELD IN THE NORTH CONFERENCE ROOM OF CITY HALL, ESTIMATED LENGTH OF THE CLOSED CLIENT/ATTORNEY MEETING AND SPECIFIC NAMES OF PERSONS ATTENDING THE MEETING. 3. AT CONCLUSION OF THE CLOSED CLIENT/ATTORNEY MEETING, THE COMMISSION WILL RECONVENE THE SPECIAL MEETING IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS AND THE MAYOR WILL ANNOUNCE TERMINATION OF THE CLOSED CLIENT/ATTORNEY MEETING. ADJOURNMENT If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at any meeting, such person may need a record of the proceedings, and, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record shall include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. Every effort is made to indicate what action the City Commission is expected to take on each agenda item. However, the City Commission may act upon any agenda subject, regardless of how the matter is stated on the agenda. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing special accommodation to participate in this meeting should contact the City Clerk’s Office by 5:00 PM, the Friday prior to the meeting.
