The.r~etir~g was called to' order by the Mayor-.Com~misa~,ones, Mr. Howell. ~ ~ - ' ` k ~d ~"^ ~r'`''~owe2Z advised that this meetng~wss necessary due t© work by the Expressway Authority on Mayport Road project progressing so rapidly and it was. necessary that we let contract so that work could conm~ence Monday for putting the water and sewer lines across Mayport Road. He presented the Committee's report on the bids received for this work. They recommended that the b.id be awarded i_ to B. J. Heilig Contracting Company as low and best bidder in the amount of $3,757.00. The matter was discussed during which Mr. Weldon brought out that specifications do not require liability insurance and he believes. contract should include. It was agreed ..that contractor should furnish City with certificate of insurance, Following further discussion, Mr. VPeldon moved adoption of Comanittse's report that contract be awarded to S. J. Heilig Contracting Company, seconded by Mr. Rosborough and carried. Copy of Comanittee report is attached hereto and made a part hereof. An easement was presented from Mr. John Blow, Interstate Contracting Company., for water. and sewer lines to serve. property on Atlantic Boulevard just west of the Texaco Station located at Royal Palms Drive and Atlantic Boulevard. The easement is 20 feet wide except the .part _North_af~h~__TQxaca-Station wh#eh-,is -39 `feet--~wid+~ They --__ ___ have purposely left one foot between Texaco Station and the easement, the purpose being if Texaco ever desires to cut into these services they will have to either pay Interstate for a portion of the cost of the lines or go across Royal Palms Drive. Mr. Blow advised they desire to construct one or more buildings on Atlantic Boulevard West of Texaco Station. The matter was discussed following which Mr. Rosborough moved we accept the easement subject to the Attorney's approval, seconded by Mr. Weldon and carried.
