No inspection shall be made by the city electrical inspector until after a permit for electrical construction or alterations has been obtained by the master electrician from the building official of this city. (Code 1970, § 7-10) Sec. 6-39. Same—Right of entry of electrical inspector. The city electrical inspector or his duly authorized assistants shall have the right, during reasonable hours, with the consent of the owner or occupant, to enter any building or premises in the discharge of his official duty or for the purpose of making any inspection or test of the electrical wiring, apparatus or fixtures contained therein. If the owner or occupant shall refuse to give such consent, entry shall be made only pursuant to authority granted by a properly issued search warrant. (Code 1970, § 7-11) Sec. 6-40. Same—Interference with electrical inspector. It shall be unlawful for any person to hinder or interfere with the city electrical inspector or with any assistant city electrical inspector in the discharge of his duties under this article.
