AN ORDINANCE AL ENDING ORDINANCE NO. 55-58-1 OF THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACd: BEING AN ORDINAOCE PROVIDING FOR TaE REGULATION
AND GOVERNING OF PLUMBING CONSTRUCTION AND THE SALE, INSTALLATION,
USE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF PLUMBING FIXTURES, APPARATUS AND
EQUIPMENT IN Ti-TE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACh, FLORIDA, AND CREATING
AND DESIGNATING THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF PLUMBERS AND DEFINING
THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID BOARD AND CREATING Ti N OFFICE OF
PLUMBING INSPECTOR AND DEFINING ThE POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID
OFFICER AND PR .SCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF SUCH
ORDINANCE AAD ESTABLIShING PERMIT AND INSPECTION FEES .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That section 29-74 "Material " (a) Rules and
regulations governing plumbing in the City
of Jacksonville, Florida be and is hereby amended
as follows:
The building sewer, beginning three feet
outside the building, shall be of cast iron,
vitrified clay pipe, or pipe that complies
with requirements of ASTM designation D 1861-
61T for homgeneous bituminized fibre drain
and sewer pipe and/or ASTM designation D 1862-
61T foE--laminated-wall bituminized fibre drain
and sewer pipe. (The use of ASTM D 1861-61T
and ASTM D 1862-61T in systems discharging
water in excess of 140 degrees Fahrenheit or
in areas of high ground water conditions to
be at the discretion of the plumbing inspector
where in his opinion such use is practical. )
SE'Ction 2. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3_ This Ordinance shall be and become effective
immediately upon its passage.
Passed by the City Commission on first reading March 9 1964.
Passed by the City Commission on second and final reading on
March 23 1964.
