Dear Property Owner:
Please be advised, the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances includes rules and regulations
governing construction activities and also maintenance standards for property within the City. These
standards are set forth in the International Property Maintenance Code and the Florida Building Code
and were adopted as part of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances in Chapter 6, Article II,
Section 6-16.
A code enforcement inspection at 714 CAVALLA RD was conducted on Monday, 9/12/2022. The City
of Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property to be in violation of the City of Atlantic
Beach Code of Ordinances:
NATURE OF VIOLATION: Trash container was sitting curbside on Monday, 9/12. Garbage
collection for Cavalla road takes place on Thursdays. In accordance with code, trash cans are not to be
placed at the street prior to 6pm the day before collection.
APPLICABLE CODE: Sec. 16-3. Garbage and trash containers. (b) Set out and storage. No person
shall place a container or yard waste in front of a residential unit in which he does not reside. Nor shall
containers of yard waste be placed in a city park or right of way adjoining a part or in a road median.
Garbage containers set out for garbage collection shall be placed at the curb of the street from which
garbage service is rendered except as otherwise provided herein. Garbage containers shall be set out no
earlier than 6:00 pm the day prior to collection and shall be returned to their regular place of storage no
later than 12:00 midnight on the day of collection.
This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by removing the container from the
street within 1 day of the receipt of this notice and following the prescribed collection schedule in
the future
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Failure to correct the violation by the required date may
result in this case being referred to the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate resulting in fines up to two
hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day. Upon completion of the action required, it is your responsibility
