A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID NO. 2122-14; FOR THE SELVA MARINA FORCE MAIN
EXTENSION, SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, on August 24, 2022, one bid was received and opened for City Bid
No. 2122-14 for the Selva Marina Force Main Extension; and
WHEREAS, the bid price, $317,616.20 was received from Gruhn May, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Gruhn May is an approved contractor the city uses frequently for utility
work: and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials
necessary to install approximately 133 LF 10" Force Main pipe, fittings, valves and appurtenances
beginning 300 feet north of the intersection of Selva Marina Drive/Atlantic Beach Drive and
ending at the west side of the Selva Marina Drive/Seminole Road intersection; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this project in account 410-5506-535-6300; Project
PU 2104; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes awarding Bid No. 2122-14 to
Gruhn May, Inc. in the amount of $317,616.20 to perform the work for said bid in accordance with
the bid specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with Gruhn May, Inc.;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
