AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA.
Section 1. That, pursuant to Section 35 of the Atlantic
Beach Charter, The City Manager is hereby designated the
Director of Public Safety and is hereby authorized, em-
powered and directed to fully perform and discharge the
duties and responsibilities as supervisory head of the
Police Department and Fire Department of the City of
Atlantic Beach, Florida.
Section 2. That, Ordinance No. 57-57-1 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediate-
ly upon its passage on final reading.
