AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO CARL STUCKI CREDIT
IN THE CITYS ' RETIREMENT SYSTEM DURING THE
PERIOD OF TIME BETWEEN AUGUST 8 , 1982 AND
APRIL 1 , 1988 ; PROVIDING METHOD OF
DETERMINING BENEFITS AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Whereas, it appears from the records of the City, Carl
Stucki had served as a policemen or as Chief of the Police,
Atlantic Beach for approximately fifteen years on August 8 , 1983
when Mr. Stucki entered into contract with the City to perform
certain duties.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Credit for Service
Carl Stucki be and he is hereby granted credit in the City
Retirement System for time served as a contract employee between
August 8 , 1983-April 1, 1988 . The amount of pension benefits to
which Carl Stucki may be entitled shall be determined at the rate
of 2% per year for the period of his employment. The payments to
be paid Stucki hereunder shall be appropriated from funds other
than Ad Valorem taxes in the annual budget of the City and paid
to Carl Stucki therefrom. The benefits to be paid Stucki for
services shall be so appropriated to ensure the annual actuarial
valuation complies with law.
Section 2 . Effective Date
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage.
Enacted this 25th day of April 1988 as an emergency
ordinance.
