CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
THAT CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS MAIN STREET BETWEEN
WEST FIRST STREET AND WEST SECOND STREET, ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida, sitting in regular public session has determined
that the following portion of Main Street within the bounds of
the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida is of no benefit to the City
of Atlantic Beach, Florida for any public purpose present or
future, and
WHEREAS, the closing, vacating, and abandoning of
said property is of the best interest to the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS
Section 1.
That piece, section, or tract of land lying and being
in the City of Atlantic Beach, County of Duval, State
of Florida, to wits
That part of Main Street in Section "H" , Atlantic
Beach, according to plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 18, page 38, of the current public records of
Duval County, Florida, lying Southwesterly of Lots
5 and 6 of Block 82, all of Block 83 and Northeasterly
of Lots 1 thru 6 of Block 84, lying Northeasterly of
the Northerly most right-of-way line of First Street
and Southwesterly of the Southerly most right-of-way
line of Second Street.
Section 2 .
That said street is hereby closed, vacated, and
abandoned, however, this abandonment is not to be
construed to affect any, if any, existing easement
in favor of any municipality or public utility,
the right of which should not be affected by this
closing.

Section 3 .
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.
