AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH
CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF WEST PLAZA ROAD, MORE PARTICULARLY HERE-
INAFTER DESCRIBED, RESERVING UNTO THE CITY
A PERPETUAL EASEMENT FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City does hereby close, vacate, and abandon that
portion of a road right of way known as West Plaza Road lying in Section
"H", Atlantic Beach, as shown on plat recorded in Plat Book 18, page 34,
of the Current Public Records of Duval County, Florida, and being that
portion of said West Plaza Road lying between the Southerly prolongation
of the Easterly line of Block 192 and the Southerly prolongation of the
Westerly line of Block 205 as shown on said plat of Section "H",
Atlantic Beach, Excepting therefrom all portions of rights of way for
Orchid Street, Hibiscus Street, Stocks Street, Main Street, Camelia
Street and Jasmine Street lying therein, and reserving unto the City of
Atlantic Beach a perpetual unobstructed easement for drainage,
utilities, and sewers over, under and through the parcel herein
described.
Section 2. This Ordinance will take effect immediately upon adoption.
