Ordinance No. 65-97-24 v .1 ORDINANCE NO. 65=97-24 AN ORDINANCE OF '1'H1E CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, CLOSING,VACATING AND ABANDONING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF AHERN STREET EAST OF OCEAN BOULEVARD, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach has deeded to Oceanfront Associates, Inc., certain portions of Ahern Street as described in the attached Corporate Warranty Deed; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for title insurance purposes for the City of Atlantic Beach to close, vacate and abandon those portions of Ahern Street. Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida: SECTION 1. The City does hereby close, vacate and abandon all right, title and interest to those portions of Ahern Street, east of Ocean Boulevard, as more particularly described in the attached Corporate Warranty Deed. SECTION 2. Title to said portions of Ahern Street having previously been conveyed to Oceanfront Associates, Inc., by virtue of the attached Corporate Warranty Deed, it is the intent of the City that title to said portions revert to Oceanfront Associates, Inc., by virtue of this ordinance. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption. PASSED by the City Commission on first reading this /3th day of January, 1997.
