Dear Brian:
This is in response to the City Permit Review comment regarding the drainage retention within 10 ft
of the property structure. Based on a review of the Site Drainage Plan by Alpha Southeast dated
August 16, 2022 the following is offered.
Given the proposed pool coping elevation at 13.5’, it is presumed that the existing “brick patio” is at
the same elevation, and the house elevation is 13.83’. Grades adjacent to the structure are shown
ranging from 13.4’ to 13.6’. The top of bank is given at 13.3’ and is as close as 3 ft from the structure.
The grade from the structure to the retention areas have slopes of approximately 1:10 in the worst
case. That grade and given the retention areas are only 6” deep the proposed retention areas would not
impact the structure or be impacted by the structure.
