• AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CITY TAX ASSESSOR
TO ADOPT THE TAX ROLL ASSESSMENTS PREPARED BY THE
TAX ASSESSOR OF DUVAL COUNTY (AND CONSOLIDATED
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE) , FLORIDA. AUTHORITY AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. The City Tax Assessor, in the preparation of
the tax rolls for the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, shall adopt
the assessments of properties made by the Tax Assessor of Duval
County, Florida, upon all properties within the City of Atlantic
Beach that is subject to taxation by the City of Atlantic Beach.
SECTION 2. The City Tax Assessor, subsequent to October 1,
1968, the effective date of the Jacksonville-Duval County con-
solidation charter, in the preparation of the tax rolls for the
City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, shall adopt the assessments
either as to personal property, or real estate, or both, made by
the Tax Assessor of the City of Jacksonville, Florida, as pertain-
ing to the Third Urban Service District and/or General Service
District, City of Jacksonville, Florida, upon such properties
within the City of Atlantic Beach, subject to taxation by the City
of Atlantic Beach.
qllIl SECTION 3 . The authority for this Ordinance is Chapter
67-1086, Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1967, amending Section
33, Chapter 57-1126, Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1957
(City of Atlantic Beach Charter) .
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage.
