AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA; AMENDING CHAP-
TER 21, ARTICLE II, DIVISION 1 , SECTION 21-24(a)
TO PROVIDE FOR ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF FLORIDA
STATUTES CHAPTER 705.16, ON ABANDONED PROPERTY
IN ITS ENTIRETY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 21, Article II, Division 1, Section 21-24(a) is
hereby amended to read as follows:

Florida Statute Chapter 705.16, Sections (1) through (8) is hereby
adopted by reference in its entirety as if fully set forth herein. The
provisions of Chapter 705.16 referenced herein shall not apply to said
abandoned property if the same is completely enclosed within a building
or unless it is utilized in connection with a business enterprise
lawfully situated and licensed for same.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.
