AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORDINANCE CODE
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA;
AMENDING CHAPTER 21, ARTICLE II, DIVISION
2, SECTION 21-38 TO PROVIDE FINES FOR
PERSONS PARKING IN HANDICAPPED PARKING
AREAS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida:
Section 1. Chapter 21, Article II, Division 2, Section 21-38 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
CHAPTER 21
TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES
ARTICLE II. STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING
DIVISION 2. ENFORCEMENT
Section 21-38. Schedule of fines.
There is established the following schedule of fines to be assessed
in cases of parking violations occurring in the City:
(1) Parking in prohibited area $15.00
(2) Parking at fire hydrant $15.00
(3) Improper parking $15.00
(4) Parking double $15.00
(5) Obstructing traffic $15.00
(6) Obstructing driveway $15.00
(7) Illegal parking in space reserved for handicapped $50.00
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its adoption.
