These standards are set forth in the International Property Maintenance Code and the Florida Building Code and were adopted as part of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances in Chapter 6, Article II, Section 6-16. A code enforcement inspection at 589 CAMELIA ST was conducted on 12/20/2022. The City of Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances: NATURE OF VIOLATION: The side around the chimney of the home is rotting and there are holes in the siding. APPLICABLE CODES: 1. IPMC Sec. 304.11 Chimneys and towers. All chimneys, cooling towers, smoke stacks, and similar appurtenances shall be maintained structurally safe and sound, and in good repair. All exposed surfaces of metal or wood shall be protected from the elements and against decay or rust by periodic application of weather-coating materials, such as paint or similar surface treatment. 2. IPMC Sec. 304.6 Exterior walls. All exterior walls shall be free from holes,breaks,and loose or rotting materials; and maintained weatherproof and properly surface coated where required to prevent deterioration. This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by repair the siding on the chimney and repair the holes within thirty(30)days of the receipt of this notice. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Failure to correct the violation by the required date may result in this case being referred to the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate resulting in fines up to two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day.
