ORDINANCE NO. 80-71- 9
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 80-65-8 OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH FOR
THE IMPOSITION AND COLLECTION OF SEWER SERVICE
CHARGES, FOR THE USE AND AVAILABILITY OF SERVICE
AND FACILITIES AFFORDED BY THE SEWER SYSTEM OF
THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH; REQUIRING CONNEC-
TIONS WITH SAID SEWER SYSTEM; SPECIFYING
SUBSTANCES WHICH SHALL NOT BE INTRODUCED •
INTO SAID SEWER SYSTEM; PROVIDING FOR THE
ENFORCEMENT OF SERVICE CHARGES; AND PROVIDING
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF ANY PROVISION OF
THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA, that
Section I. The following schedule of charges, per
calendar quarter, for sewer service provided or made available
by the sewer system of the City is hereby determined to be
just and equitable and is hereby adopted and established.
1. Residential Users.
(a) Single Family Residence; $9.00 per
quarter.
(b) Duplex (2 family) residence; $16.20
per quarter.
(c) Each single residence area within
a business building; $9.00 per
quarter.
(d) Apartments (multiple family) ; $9.00
for one unit per quarter; $7 . 20 per
unit per quarter for next three
units; $5.40 per unit per quarter
for all units over four.
(e) Motels; $9.00 per quarter for first
unit (operator' s quarters and/or
office included) ; $1.80 per quarter
for each unit with kitchen; $.90 per
quarter for each rentable room with-
out kitchen.

(f) Mobile Home Park; $9.00 per quarter
for the first unit (operator' s
quarters and/or office included) ;
$5.40 per quarter for each additional
unit (trailer space) .
2. Special Users:
La) Churches; $9.00 per quarter.
(b) Country Club and Acquatic Club;
$29.70 per quarter.
(c) Elementary School; $72.00 per quarte ..
3. All Other Users:
Barber shops, Beauty parlors, Kinder-
gartens, Business offices, Retail stores,
Restaurants, Bars, Hotels, Theaters, b
Filling stations, Garages, and Industrial C\_
plants; for each area of a building serve "O
by one water meter (even though a corobina
tion of two or more uses may exist therein ;
a basic charge of $3.00 per quarter, plus
additional, charges related to metered
water usuage as follows: act. 100% of �.
water charges to the basic charge of sewer
services.
